Sunset Row retail development announces 8 incoming tenants in Silver Lake

Sunset Row, a new retail corridor opening in Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighborhood, has signed eight new leases as the project approaches completion.

Under development by L.A.-based developer Ryda Ventures, Sunset Row will be a collection of retail, restaurant and service spaces along Sunset Boulevard, taking two previously vacant buildings at 3210 Sunset and 3300 Sunset, formerly an auto body shop, and giving them new life as a sleek retail center.

Announced leases include New Balance’s new specialty concept store; eyewear brand Akila; Dan Dan Ya, a collaboration between Mason’s Dumplings in Highland Park and Dongting Noodle on Sawtelle; bag and accessory brand Baggu; beauty and lifestyle brand Malin + Goetz, adding to its locations in Beverly Hills and Larchmont Village; curated fashion and vintage retailer Golden Age; British clothing brand Sunspel’s first location in L.A.; and outdoor brand Filson.

The contiguous properties are bridged by a 6,500-square-foot outdoor courtyard with social seating and natural gathering spaces as a place for retail activations and events. The property at 3210 Sunset will encompass 6,500 square feet of retail space while 3300 Sunset will span 13,000 square feet of space beneath expansive bow truss ceilings. Storefronts vary in size from 400 square feet to 3,000 square feet.

The property features restored original details of its hallmark art deco design. The development is designed to create an “oasis in the city” with a welcoming gathering and shopping experience.

As of November, the construction of the buildings’ core, shell and common areas is complete, with tenants working on individual build-outs, according to Ryda principal Ryan Neman.

Neman is “optimistic” about tenants opening to the public by early 2024, he told L.A. Business First in a statement.
